Significance of using coloured mud lamps
Eradicate stagnant and negative energies by lighting up the corners and every nook with enough lights. Meru Yantra Worship
According to ancient texts the Meru Shri Yantra is the Master Yantra that is helpful to correct the Vastu dosha (or defect). Whether it is any financial problems or personal setbacks, the Meru Yantra is an answer to all. The Yantra acts also as a strong medium to remove all obstacles and pave the way for a happy, healthy and wealthy life. As per our mythology, the Meru is a sacred mountain and a spiritual power house. The same spirituality and powers is radiated by the yantra when the devotee worships the Yantra. During Diwali, the puja of the Meru Yantra holds special significance as the energies in the Universe are most conducive and right. The Yantra should be ideally placed in the puja place with you facing the east.
Some more spiritual and auspicious symbols that you can worship during this time of the year are – Worshipping cow with calf on Vasu- baras, Lord Dhanvantari (God of health ) and Lord Kuber (God of Wealth management ) on Dhanteras. Worshipping Lord Yama by keeping one special lamp in South of our premises in Bhai-duj (Bhaubeej) for peaceful end of life whenever it is destined.
Kuber Lakshmi Puja
While Lakshmi puja is a universally accepted tradition, Kuberapuja along with Mata Lakshmi Puja can be done especially by business people. It is said that while Lakshmi is the Goddess of prosperity and wealth, Kubera is the keeper of this wealth and the wealth manager. Kubera does not only belong to Hindu mythology but spans a wider tradition through existence across Jainism and Buddhism. In every demographic, though, he is the eternal wealth keeper. Therefore, worshipping of the Kubera in conjunction with Lakshmi Puja can be done by business establishments.
Importance of timings
Puja should be done at the appropriate Diwali Puja Muhurat as given in the “panchang” (Hindu calendar). The Muhurats are given in the calendar considering fixed Lagna, Pradosh time and Amavasya Tithi. The puja should be accomplished by the prescribed rituals, chanting of the Lakshmi Suktam and various hymns. If you personally do not know the rituals then it would be helpful to take the help of a master of ceremonies – the Purohit.

This year the Lakshmi Puja Muhurat is at 18.42 PM to 20.11 PM on the 27th of October (Pradosh Kaal is slated between 17.36 PM to 20.11 PM.
The Amavasya Tithi starts at 12.23 PM on 27th October and ends at 09.08 AM on 28th of October, this year).
